Local Men Part Of DEC Training Class

Two men from Otsego County are part of the group of 43 Environmental Conservation Officers and Forest Ranger recruits were sworn in as New York police officers in a ceremony Wednesday.

Dustin Osborne and Ryan Wing began their training earlier this month and the class is expected to graduate in August.

DEC Commissioner Basil Seggos says receiving the Oath of Office is significant for the recruits because this is the time they make the move from civilian life to law enforcement officer.
