Woman Sentenced On Social Security Fraud

An Andes woman gets two years probation along with 50 hours community service for her guilty plea to charges she defrauded Social Security.

According to a news release Deborah E. Wagner, also known as Deborah E. Cottrell is also required to repay over $64,000 in Survivors Insurance benefits she collected from 2006 through 2014.

Legal papers say Wagner told the SSA she was a widow but an investigation found she had remarried in 2006.
