AG Suing TWC Spectrum

New York Attorney General Eric Schniederman announced a lawsuit against Spectrum-Time Warner Cable claiming the company defrauded customers over internet speeds and performance.

Schneiderman says that since 2012 the company promised subscribers they would get a “fast, reliable connection” to the internet but an investigation found customers were getting dramatically short-changed receiving connectivity at 20 to 30 percent of promised speeds.

The suit says company executives knew that their infrastructure couldn’t deliver the bandwidth but continued to make false representations about the speed and reliability.
