Sen. Seward Reacts To State Budget

Governor Andrew Cuomo unveiled his 2017 state budget to the public Tuesday.

The $153 billion spending proposal cuts taxes for middle income earners, extends a tax on those earning over a million dollars a year and allocates an extra $1 billion in school aid.

In a statement Senator Jim Seward said he’s pleased to see the governor dedicating the money for public schools and plans to make sure a revamped foundation aid formula gets low wealth high need districts their share of that money.
