Brookwood Point’s future becomes clearer

The ownership picture for Brookwood Point just became a little clearer now that Otsego Land Trust secured interim funding insuring it will continue to operate the property for the next 7 years.

Chairman Harry Levine says donors pledged nearly a quarter million dollars so OLT can keep the property available to the public.

The property ownership development is a complete reversal of what happened last year, when OLT tried to sell off half of the 22 acre property as a way to keep the other half.

There were no acceptable purchase offers tendered.

OLT will hold community meetings about the future of Brookwood Point September 29 and October 25 at Templeton Hall in Cooperstown.
