Oneonta EMS tackles 2 heroin OD cases in one night

It was double trouble for Oneonta EMS when medics responded to a home where two men had overdosed on heroin.

Oneonta Fire Department Chief Patrick Pidgeon says they sent two crews to an East End home Sunday afternoon and the opioid antidote Narcan was used to revive one of the men.

Pidgeon says both men – whose identities were not released – refused to be taken to the hospital for further treatment.
