Strange turn in DWI arrest

There’s a twist in connection with the arrest of a woman in Stamford on suspicion of DWI.

According to the State Police Alexandria Duval – who’s from Hawaii – was charged in May with the death of her sister who was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Duval that went off a cliff.

The murder charges against Duval were eventually dropped.

Police say Duval had a blood alcohol level nearly 3 times the legal limit when officers stopped her Monday afternoon on Route 23.

She’s being held on $5,000 bail.
