Airport apron and city manager role on Common Council aganda

The Oneonta Common Council is expected to take another step forward on the airport’s apron expansion project at its meeting tonight.

On the agenda for tonight’s 7pm meeting at the Council Chambers is consideration of a resolution declaring the apron’s construction will not have a significant impact on the environment – as part of the State Environmental Quality Review.

In June the the federal government awarded a grant of just over $300,000 to expand the apron by 2,200 square yards which will be used for additional aircraft parking.

According to a published report the Council will also discuss the future of the city manager position – which has been vacant since the middle of 2015.
