Roxbury man killed in freak deer accident

A Roxbury man died in a freak accident involving a deer on Sunday evening. 49-year-old John Peters was a passenger in a car and was killed when a deer, hit by an oncoming car, crashed through the front windshild and broke his passenger seat. His driver had minor injuries, and the driver that hit the deer and her elderly parents were not hurt, as their airbags deployed. The crash happened on State Route 30, south of Grand Gorge.
