Local counties to receive $100M for road repairs from NY state DOT

The New York State Department of Transporation is doling out $100 million to four local counties to rehab and reconstruct local highways and roads. The Governor’s office said in a news release yesterday that Oneonta will receive about $60,000, along with other towns and villages as part of a $21 billion dollar five-year Capital Plan. The money will be used for resurfacing, widening, realignment, constructing turning lanes at intersections and creating new drainage to mitigate harmful flooding.
